Four Aspects of Faith

Faith – steps out in obedience

Faith – steps out in confidence in God to fight for us

Faith – steps out in trust in impossible circumstances

Faith – waits in pain and patience for God to come through

Waters of a Sea

  • “By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned. ” – Hebrews 11:29
  • “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The LORD will fight for you and you have only to be silent.” – Exodus 14:13-14

Faith in Jesus can deliver when we feel that there is .

Walls of a City

The Theological Implication

  1. Jesus is the hero of this passage.
  2. We cannot deliver ourselves.
  3. We must trust in Jesus to deliver us.
