How Do We Make Sense Of Such Violence

Five things we need to know:

1. We live in a sin-sick world that impacts every human being. 

 ” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick;  who can understand it?” – Jeremiah 17:9

           2. We live in a Satanically influenced culture where evil exists. 

” in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience” – Ephesians 2:2

3. Our only solution is found in Jesus Christ

 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

-John 14:16

        4. We are engaged in spiritual warfare

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” – Ephesians 6:12

       5. We need not fear for we have a Sovereign heavenly Father who is still in charge

” In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,”- Ephesians 1:11
