Exodus actually means “exit”. So, this book is God’s exit plan for his people who have been under slavery and the fulfillment of his promises to Abraham about being a great and powerful nation. There are three major themes that keep occurring throughout the book: the fulfillment of God’s promises, the demonstration of God’s power and the reality of God’s presence.
