Deeper Discipleship – We Grow Through Discipleship

Discipleship has been a topic of discussion in the church for the past several decades. The topic arises from time to time and then sinks back to the bottom until a new generation becomes interested in it again. Growing in discipleship is crucial in going deeper in the 

The Bible uses the term only 3 times (Acts 11:26, 26:28; I Peter 4:16).

The common word used to describe followers of Jesus is . 

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:18-20

We are called to be who make . 

What Is A Disciple?

And he (Jesus) said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

  1. A disciple is a who is invited into a relationship with Jesus. 
  2. A disciple is one who is Jesus.
  3. A disciple is one who is being by Jesus.
  4. A disciple is one who is living on with Jesus.

A disciple is one who experiences on-going transformation as he follows Jesus and is committed to the task of making disciples. 

Relational Environments For Making Disciples

Two Kinds of People in our Lives:

A disciple is one who experiences on-going transformation as he follows Jesus and is committed to the task of making disciples.

5-YEAR GOAL:

By 2029, we want to see people regularly attending Small Group.
